I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed this film. The ending did contain quite graphic, violent scenes, but the dark comedy and hilarious lines made the viewing experience well worth it till the very last minute.

I normally restrict myself to watching one film per week. But this one is simply too good to delay.
Funny how I’ve never heard of this 1982 film by Sydney Pollack, ‘Tootsie’. It recently came to my attention when both Steven Spielberg and Sofia Coppolla chose the film as one of their top 5 DVDs to rent. So I thought, sure why the hell not?
“It feels like something you could watch on a sunday afternoon in 1976.”
The work of director Roman Coppolla never fails to grab my attention. This video for the Sebastien Tellier song, ‘L’amour Et La Violence’ is no exception. Watch it here.
